Students and teachers of the Salt Spring Primary School, Salt Spring District St. James, recently were surprised as Omoi Green, Branch Manager for PROVEN Wealth Limited Montego Bay brought them school supplies.

Green said during his handing over of the items “We are excited to support and to bolster the efforts of the School’s PTA as they continue to defy the odds and produce credible results.  Providing much needed tools will go a far way to motivate the students who need them.”

Promising Students  

Filled with promising, gifted and bright students, the school population comprises of seventy percent (70%) male, to date the school has achieved commendable success in exams. Their Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) grades achieved a 90% pass rate and their and Grade 4 Literacy & Numeracy Test have yielded an 89% pass. Additionally, the school, excels in extracurricular competitions such as football and 4H Club, and have also done well in the Gleaner, Children’s Own Spelling Bee.

The One Drop Donation Drive done by PROVEN forms part of the company’s commitment to support communities in which they operate and to engage staff to give back wholeheartedly. Held recently, the event sought to collect, through staff, client and corporate donations, blood for the National Blood Transfusion Service (Blood Bank) and school supplies and food items for selected schools and shelters.
