Founder and Managing Director of CapSol Advisory Limited, Ms. Gomes has over 30 years of experience in Finance, Investment Banking and Pension Fund Management with one of the Caribbean’s largest integrated financial conglomerates Guardian Holdings Limited, where she served for 9 years as President of Guardian Asset Management Jamaica Limited (GAMJA). Of note, Lisa was responsible for driving GAMJA’s growth in shareholders equity from J$100M to J$1Billion and piloted the successful and profitable sale of the company in 2010 when the Parent Company decided to exit the business.
More recently, Ms. Gomes worked in the Hospitality Sector for over 5 years with Sandals Resorts International as Director of Finance and Planning where she served as an integral member of the team that negotiated and accomplished the expansion of the group into the Eastern Caribbean.
Ms. Gomes serves as Chairman of Proven Wealth Limited and also chairs its Audit Committee. Ms. Gomes sits on the Board of Kingston Property Limited and its Investment Committee and chairs the Corporate Governance Committee of that Company. In December 2017 she joined the Board of Caribbean Assurance Brokers and chairs its Audit Risk and Compliance Committee.
Garfield Sinclair is the President of one of the region’s largest telecommunications giants, Cable and Wireless Communications (C&W). Prior to this, Garfield was the President & Chief Operating Officer of Dehring Bunting & Golding Limited (DB&G).
Mr. Sinclair’s educational achievements include the Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), California Board of Accountancy—C.P.A licence (non-practising), Uniform Certified Public Accounting examination and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (accounting) from the San Diego State University. Board positions he has held include: Chairman of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Pension Fund (Board of Trustees), Kingston Properties Limited and the Statistical Institute of Jamaica.
John Bell is a Director of Advantage General Insurance Company Limited and immediate past Chairman of Salada Foods Jamaica Limited.
Mr. Bell is a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was lead partner of the firm’s Financial Services Audit and Assurance practice for several years. He was educated at The Lodge School in Barbados and later the University of the West Indies, Jamaica where he honed a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Accounting. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Great Britain.
Johann Heaven was appointed in December 2017 as the President and CEO of PROVEN Wealth Limited and PROVEN Fund Managers Limited and has full responsibility for strategically directing the growth and performance of both organisations.
Johann is also the Chief Investment Officer for PROVEN Management Limited, where he is responsible for leading the investment teams and decision-making process throughout the Group of Companies. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification, and has a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of London.
Christopher Williams is the Chief Executive Officer of PROVEN Management Limited and is responsible for managing the operations of Proven Investments Limited, parent company of PROVEN Wealth Limited. He is a skilled senior executive with over 15 years’ experience in Merchant Banking, Asset Management and Stock Brokerage in the Jamaican and Cayman Islands capital markets.
Mrs. Boyd-Walker is currently Vice President Finance, Risk & Compliance for the Proven Group and is responsible for directing Finance, Risk & Compliance to efficiently and effectively produce timely financial reports as guided by the accepted accounting standards. She has over fifteen years’ experience in the Finance industry and has previously worked for Guardian Life Limited, Jamaica Mutual Life and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Gary Barrow is the Senior Vice President, Customer Operations and Support Services at Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, the nation’s primary power supply company. In his prior appointments he served as Executive Vice President of mobile services for Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago; Senior Director of Regulatory Strategy, Cable and Wireless plc London and the President and CEO of Cable and Wireless Jamaica Limited.
Marcus Steele currently serves as Managing Director of Carreras Limited and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Mr. Steele first joined Carreras Group Limited in the company’s Tobacco division, Cigarette Company of Jamaica Limited, in the capacity of Management Accountant
